The purpose of relationships is to allow you to be whom you desire to be. It should not thwart your growth but promote it. It should not shackle you, but support you.

It should allow you to be free to experience the life you choose to live. It should not keep you entrenched in anger and sadness but shower you with love and happiness.

Now look at your current or past relationships. Can you honestly say you are or were in a good relationship that met your needs? Probably not!

Bad relationships leave you with scars that do not heal fast, if ever. Therefore, you may take your anger and frustration out on men who have nothing to do with your previous relationships. Worse, you may push away or overlook a good man.

The first thing you should do, before you read further, is to answer a few questions that will help you open up, release some of your anger and/or distrust toward men in general.

  1. Why aren’t you happy in your relationship?
  2. Did you settle for another man instead of getting the one you need?
  3. Do you feel you don’t deserve a good man and that’s why you settled?
  4. If you are unhappy with your relationship, what about the relationship makes you feel unhappy?

Take a few minutes to answer the questions before you continue. It will truly help you to get the most out of the Goodbye Heartache and Unhappy Relationship guide.
